Return Policy

Before you begin your return, please review the return policy and ensure you meet all return requirements.

Return Authorization Required

  • Submit a request via our Contact Us form.
  • You will receive an email with further instructions.
  • A Red Heavy Duty Tools representative will review your case within 1–3 business days (Mon–Fri).

What to Include with Your Return

To ensure your return is processed, please include:

  • Original packaging (box, Styrofoam, bubble wrap, bags, etc.)
  • Intact UPC barcode (required; removal voids the return)
  • Original packing slip
  • All accessories (cords, remotes, batteries, cases, etc.)
  • Manuals, warranty cards, registration documents, and any included literature

Return Categories & Restrictions

 

Damaged Items

If your order arrives with damaged products, please follow these steps:

  1. Report the Damage Immediately – Contact us within 3 days of delivery.
  2. Identify Each Damaged Item – Clearly list each tool or accessory that is damaged.
  3. Provide Photographic Evidence – Send clear photos of the damaged items themselves, not just the shipping box or packaging.
  4. Return is Required for Replacement – We do not offer refunds or replacements without return of the damaged items.
  5. Shipping Weight Verification – We calculate the expected return weight based on the actual tools being returned plus a small allowance for the box and packing materials.

Defective Items

  • Refer to the manufacturer for warranty claims.

Returning Items (Within 5 Days)

  • Return authorization required.
  • Refunds may be subject to a 15% restocking fee.
  • Customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

Gasoline-Powered Equipment

  • Cannot be returned once fuel is added.
  • Must be serviced under warranty at an authorized center.

Oversized Items

Some items exceed standard return shipping limits and require special handling or freight arrangements.

Promotional Item Returns

  • Free Goods: If your purchase included a free promotional item, it must be returned along with the main item to receive a full refund.
  • Other Promotions: We reserve the right to deny or modify returns related to promotional offers (online or in-store).

Important Notes

  • Items marked as non-defective must arrive in perfect, working condition.
  • Misclassified returns that are found to be defective may be subject to a 15% restocking fee.
  • Returned products must be in perfect, unused condition with all original packaging and accessories to qualify for a refund or exchange. (See What to Include with Your Return section)
